P.S.143Q has been a uniform school for many years. All students will be receiving FREE white polo T shirts to get started! Our uniform policy will be strictly enforced because we are proud to be a uniform school and our students love to show their 143 Pride. Students must wear their school uniform every single day.

Ampliación de Lugares en el Programa Extraescolar
¡Estamos emocionados de ampliar el número de lugares disponibles para nuestro programa extraescolar! Esto brindará a más estudiantes la oportunidad de participar en actividades enriquecedoras después del horario escolar.
Programa Desayuno y Libros al Llegar por la Mañana
A partir de septiembre, ofreceremos este programa de alfabetización que comenzará a las 7:20 AM. La lectura independiente es una piedra angular del éxito académico, y los estudios muestran que los hábitos de lectura temprana pueden mejorar las habilidades cognitivas, las destrezas literarias y el rendimiento general. Todos los estudiantes deberán traer un libro para leer de manera independiente y también disfrutarán de un desayuno caliente para comenzar su día con energía y enfoque.
Política de Uniformes e Incentivos

Excelencia Académica y Logros
Estamos increíblemente orgullosos de los avances académicos que nuestros estudiantes han logrado. ¡Este año logramos nuestros niveles más altos de competencia en ciertos grados, superando a muchas escuelas! PS 143Q también ganó la Feria STEM del distrito y tuvo un desempeño excepcional en ligas de debate, torneos de ajedrez y competiciones de Minecraft. Nuestros estudiantes también se destacan a nivel nacional en los EE. UU. según lo medido en las evaluaciones biliterales de M Class. Mientras continuamos construyendo sobre este éxito, ampliaremos el día académico en las mañanas y seguiremos ofreciendo una variedad de programas gratuitos enriquecedores, actividades para estudiantes y excursiones.

A Look Ahead to September
Dear Proud PS 143Q Parents,
We are excited to reflect on a year filled with growth, opportunities, and success! We still have have over 3 months of learning this school year! As we look ahead to September, we have some fantastic developments that we know will benefit both our students and our entire community.
Expanded After-School Seats We are thrilled to expand the number of seats available for our after-school program! This will provide even more students the opportunity to engage in enriching activities after school hours.
Breakfast & Books Morning Arrival Program Starting this September, we will be offering this literacy program beginning at 7:20 AM. Independent reading is a cornerstone of academic success, and studies show that early reading habits can improve cognitive abilities, literacy skills, and overall performance. All students will need to bring an independent reading book with them and will also enjoy a hot breakfast to start their day energized and focused.
Uniform Policy & Incentives Uniforms will play an essential role in fostering a sense of pride and community at PS 143Q. This year, all students will receive NEW white polo shirts with our brand-new logo as part of the fashionable uniform launch. Major incentives will be offered for students who wear their uniforms every day as required. We’ll be hosting huge uniform sales throughout March and April to help get our scholars ready and excited for the year ahead.
Uniform Policy has been in effect at PS143Q for many years but has not been enforced with fidelity. Expect enforcement of this policy in September.

Academic Excellence & Achievements We are incredibly proud of the academic strides our students have made. This past year, we achieved our highest proficiency levels ever in certain grades, outperforming many schools! PS 143Q also won the district STEM Fair and performed exceptionally well in debate leagues, chess tournaments, and Minecraft competitions. Our students also outperform across the United States nationally as measured on M Class biliteracy assessments. As we continue to build on this success, we will expand the instructional day in the mornings and continue offering a variety of FREE enriching programs, abundant student activities and field trips.
Exciting Plans for September & Beyond In September, expect an abundance of free resources and opportunities for our students:
- Free school supplies for all students.
- Uniform incentives, including Cub Bucks to shop at our school store.
- Free breakfast and lunch every day.
- A free morning literacy program to boost reading skills.
- Free programs during the December, February, and April breaks, as well as weekend learning opportunities.
