Dear Parents & Guardians:
My name is Giovanna Espinosa. I am happy to introduce myself as the new Parent Coordinator of P.S. 143. I am very excited to have this opportunity to work with you and your families. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am born and raised in Queens, New York. I reside in Queens with my husband and two children, whom both attend NYC public schools. I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I have volunteered in both of my children's schools, alongside of the PTA, throughout their educations.
As I prepare for the upcoming school year, I want to assure you that my purpose here is to serve as a resource to our families. My intention is to be the liaison for all your questions and concerns regarding your child’s educational needs. Parenting is one of the toughest and most rewarding jobs. I am a mother of two wonderful young boys. Their education and well- being are my number one priority. I will approach your children’s development the same way. However, we cannot do this alone. Family engagement is essential. Our students’ progress is most successful when parents are involved. Coming into 2019-2020, I encourage all parents to communicate creative ideas, workshops, fundraisers and concerns that you may have regarding your child's education. My role, in partnership with the principal, the PTA, and school community, is to facilitate support networks. My goal is to have engaging workshops that support family values and what’s important to you, the parents.
If there are any immediate concerns that you may need assistance with, please feel free to email me at GEspinosa3@schools.nyc.gov
I am thrilled that I will be a part of so many amazing things coming to P.S. 143.
I look forward to meeting you all!
